Dr. Susanne Ressl received a 2019 Trustees Teaching Award

Friday, May 3, 2019

Dr. Susanne Ressl

Dr. Susanne Ressl was nominated by Dr. Steve Bell for the 2019 Trustees Teaching Award.

"Susanne excelled in her first teaching role. She earned gratitude for getting the MLS degree program off to an excellent start, and her contributions go far beyond the normal call of duty." - Dr.  Jim Drummond

A student’s response sums up the sentiment of the students:

"Professor Ressl did an incredible job at relaying many techniques valuableto future careers in the field of science: reading scientific papers, analysingprotein structures, Pymol, research poster presentations, and even just the importance of each of these things in the larger scale. It was clear that she deeply cared about our understanding of the topics presented in this course and that she took it upon herself to relay the information in an accessible way. She was always understanding and willing to work with students one–on–one if need be. She always made sure that we felt free/comfortable communicating our thoughts about the course throughout the semester."
