Two trainers in the Biochemistry Graduate Program, Drs. Julia van Kessel and Matt Bochman, hold a pumpkin carving competition for their labs each October. A panel of expert judges (Julia and Matt's kids) ranked this year's entries, and Bochman lab rotation student Kennadi Shumaker took home first prize for her black cat pumpkin. Everyone else tied for second place. Congrats to all of the participants!
